HANDLOOMED TAPESTRY CLASSICS

What you will see below are 5 Hand Woven tapestries that have been woven in Europe, the continent where tapestries were invented and brought to their highest glory. Each of these tapestries is hand woven using century old traditions, each being woven in numbers so small as to make them virtually "one of a kind."

The designs have been carefully selected on these tapestries and reflect the experience and skill of the designers - art college graduates who excel in designing both tapestries and oriental carpets. Two of these designs have been inspired by 16th century originals, one by a 17th century original and another by the English artist William Morris. The tapestry called "Ibis" is an original design, a verdure designed along the lines of many such tapestries created in the 17th century.

These tapestries show the skill, experience and patience of the weavers. Each of these took anywhere from one to three months to weave. They have a density of 50 yarn threads per 10 cm which allows for incredible detail. All are woven with wool yarn, each color being hand dyed for the specific tapestry. Shipping weights are shown for each tapestry.
