SEWING -ADDING A LINING OR BORDER TO
YOUR TAPESTRY

Over the years we have found that many tapestries have been handed down through generations in a variety of conditions ranging from faded and falling apart to untouched and in great condition. Or, perhaps you took a trip to Europe several years ago, bought a tapestry with all good intentions of "doing something with it" but have not done anything but stored and moved it around. What are you going to do with it? How can you get the tapestry to a point where it can be hung? And can get it done so it will hang right?

We have been making tapestries hangable for our customers for over 15 years! Hangable in that we will add a lining and rod pocket (and BORDER if desired) to your tapestry to make it easy to hang. Once you get to that point you can visit our How To Hang Your Tapestry Page that gives good instructions on installation.

How do you go about doing this? It is a 4 step process that goes like this:
1. CALL US! Call our toll free number to discuss what you have. Before you call, be prepared with the following: dimensions, colors, theme, condition, markings, age (if known), and where you want to hang it. Take a look at the the border link above to see what is available. You can also send us an email with the same information. If you have a picture or graphic of it, it will speed up the process.

2. We will then email you with an estimate of the cost. Our cost estimate will include labor, border yardage, lining and shipping and insurance. We will also give you our shipping address and other particulars. The estimate will be re-affirmed (or perhaps, modified) upon receiving the tapestry.

3. Send your tapestry to us at. Please insure the tapestry for whatever you think it would cost to replace it.

4. We sew on the border, lining and rod pocket and send the tapestry back to you, insuring it for the "new" value.
